PRE*TEL MASTERS GOLF TOURNAMENT "HOLES OUT" FOR CYSTIC FIBROSIS
Friday October 7th was both a wonderful day for golf and an outstanding day for the Kinsmen Club of Peterborough's ongoing support in the battle against Cystic Fibrosis. 52 golfers took to the links of the Kawartha Golf and Country Club in the 8th Annual Edition of the Pre*Tel Master Charity Golf Tournament. This years' Pre*Tel Master's was an outstanding success and not only was a wonderful day of golf and fun had by all but yielded an outstanding $ 5,410.00 for the Kinsmen Club of Peterborough's ongoing campaign to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis research and eventual cure. Kinsmen Club of Peterborough President Derek Vandenberg said "When Pre*tel owner and Kinsmen club member Dave Meekin brought the offer of dedicating this years proceeds to our fight against CF we were thrilled. Every year the club raises money as part of Kin Canada's commitment to CF and these addition funds will make a big difference as we get closer to a control or cure for this disease." Pre*tel Services is a family owned and operated business since 1985. The company began pre-wiring homes and business for Bell Canada, and today we are the preferred pre-wire contractor for many builders and home owners in Peterborough and surrounding area. This is their 8th Annual charity event. Dave Meekin and President Derek Vandenberg presented a cheque in the amount of $ 5,410.00 to Kin Canada District 8 Governor Kathy Alexander at the Kinsmen Club of Peterborough Meeting on October 26th. Alexander acknowledged the wonderful donation and commented on the Peterborough club's legacy of consistently being a top donor in Kin Canada's efforts for CF. The Kinsmen Club of Peterborough thanks and congratulates Dave Meekin and Pre*Tel for their outstanding contribution in the fight against CF and remains committed to working with all of Kin Canada to find a control and eventual cure of Cystic Fibrosis.
